Spectacular New Sunrise Video Celebrating Sunderland Seafront
The Seafront Traders Association have commissioned a spectacular promo film to help kick off the Summer Season of events taking place around Sunderland and the coast.
The film shows two young locals setting out for some early morning exercise down Seaburn and Roker as the cafes and businesses on the surrounding streets come to life
The film was produced and directed by Second Draft, and independent production company based in Hope St Xchange, with drone footage supplied by Superfly Guys.
Mark Stuart Bell, Producer from Second Draft said: “We were thrilled to be commissioned to capture this stunning area. With the Airshow, Summer Streets festival, Tall Ships Race and City of Culture 2021 bid, it feels like Sunderland is on the up! The city is packed with potential and we’re proud to be based here.”
He continued: “I’m staggered by how few people from outside of the city know about our glorious coastline.
Just the other week I was having a business meeting in Roker, and shared an obligatory photo of my coffee in the sunshine on Facebook. Immediately friends started commenting asking where this beautiful location was.
“I thought you worked in Sunderland?!” One wrote.
“THIS is Sunderland!!!” I replied, much to his disbelief.”
Second Draft was launched in 2016 by Mark Stuart Bell and Glen Colledge. The pair come from a background in broadcast TV, news and commercial content, and bring a cinematic style and years of professional know-how to helping organisations tell their story and engage with an audience.
During their careers they’ve filmed all around the UK, as well as in Sweden, Tonga and the Falkland Islands, and produced work for the BBC, NHS and global brands like Blaupunkt.
Second Draft gratefully received start-up support from The Enterprise Place.
